As I look forward to 2008, I am more nostalgic than usual over 2007. From an investing standpoint it was an incredible year. From a personal standpoint it was very challenging.
What can we expect of 2008?
Challenges? To be sure.
Opportunities? Incredible ones. They are already showing up and being swallowed up by savvy investors.
The holidays are drawing to a close and of course the next few months are filled with tax reporting issues.
Wouldn't it be great if we had the Fair Tax in place and no one had to spend any time between now and April 15th trying to figure out how much they can get away with on their tax return? Anyway, I can dream.
The opportunities in 2008 are going to be different than anything most of the mass guru trained have ever seen or know anything about. These guru trained investors are going to be taken by surprise and get frustrated at almost every turn.
It isn't a new day in investing just another turn of the cycle. This has happened before and the guru types missed it then and they will miss it now.
Stay tuned, because 2008 is going to be a very fun ride for some of us!
